What are Rough Diamonds ?
Rough diamonds are the raw, uncut gems that come straight from the earth. They haven't been shaped or polished yet, so they often have a rough, uneven appearance. Rough diamonds are like nature's treasure waiting to be discovered, with each one having its own unique characteristics such as size, shape, and colour.
Polished Diamonds
What are Polished Diamonds ?
Polished diamonds are the result of skilled craftsmanship and precision. Jewellers carefully cut and polish rough diamonds to enhance their natural beauty, revealing their sparkling brilliance and fire. Polished diamonds are the dazzling gems you see in jewellery, such as engagement rings, necklaces, and earrings. They undergo a meticulous process to achieve the perfect shape, clarity, and sparkle that makes them so precious and sought after.
An Epic Adventure of a Diamond
1. Exploration
The fact that natural diamonds are produced by nature makes them unique. Diamonds are not found everywhere on Earth; they are formed layers under the surface. During the exploration phase, the probability of diamond occurrence and mining potential are often evaluated by exploring Kimberlite and Lamproite pipes, which are holes in the Earth's surface created by volcanic activity.
2. Mining
Mining is completed after the ideal site and approved mine are identified, where excellent diamonds are abundant. An ethical and responsible approach is taken in the conduct of these mining operations. Diamonds are mined using a variety of methods, however we only purchase our diamonds from businesses that adhere to the same environmental and worker welfare standards. The highest-quality diamonds can be bought by diamond firms as part of the sight-holder system.
3. Sorting
Once the raw diamonds arrive at our facility, they undergo sorting. Their colour, form, size, and quality are the factors that divide them into several groups. Subsequently, the planning phase of the diamond production process commences, transforming the raw gemstone into a brilliant diamond.
4. Cutting & Polishing
Skilled artisans meticulously shape and refine rough diamonds into dazzling gems. This process involves precision cutting to enhance the diamond's brilliance and polishing to achieve a flawless surface finish. Planning, cleaving, bruting, polishing, and the last inspection are all included in this process.
5. Jewellery Manufacturing
The brilliantly polished diamonds are now prepared to be fashioned into exquisite jewellery. The loose diamonds are set in bracelets, necklaces, rings, earrings, and pendants. The production of jewellery is the term for this procedure. Our talented artists create designs that are innovative and always up to date with current trends, all the while retaining their classic appeal.
